Hello from Oakland, CA!

Hi All -

I am excited to join the BYC community! I have spent tons of time reading helpful information on BYC as we venture into this new and exciting territory of chicken parenthood ) We have 6 chicks who just turned 5 weeks old....we are anxious to get them moved outside in about a week, we have been working on our coop & run for several weekends now, we are so ready for it to be done! Below are our girls names & breeds:

Blue Laced Red Wyandotte: "Hazel"
Partridge Cochin: "Harriet"
Buff Brahma: "Mille"
Blue Cochin: "Mabel"
Speckled Sussex: "Gertie"
Welsummer: "Gretel"

I look forward to "meeting" you all - would love to hear from anyone local as well!
