Hello from Ohio!

We have our first chickens (5 months old) One BO Rooster, One BO hen, RIR hen (not laying yet) and two ISA Browns. Just purchased 6 Ayam Cemani peeps. They're 3 weeks old now. In the process of building a sturdy winter coop to hold them all. The first 5 started out in the old rabbit pen.
So far so good! Only one accident with the wolfdog. Too much like dinner I guess. He got a RIR shortly after they started free ranging in the pasture field. Fence has been repaired!

Welcome to the Backyard Chickens flock, glad you joined us. I would think it will take a lot more than a fence to keep your birds safe from a wolf dog, especially after he has tasted the merchandise.
