Hello. I began my chicken "hobby" many years ago when I started hatching chicks for my kindergarten class. A few weeks after the hatch, the chicks would go back to the farm the eggs came from. About 5 years ago, my husband said we should keep some so I ordered some Rhode island red and Barred Rock hatching eggs and after they hatched, we've been hooked. I know have 2 large coops, and 2 manufactured coops with over 50 chickens/chicks of many different breeds. We love all of our chickens. Each has a name and all are friendly (with the exception of a couple of my overprotective roosters
We are constantly learning and could use some advice from time to time so I'm excited to be a part of this site
