I just found this website and am excited to learn more. We live in rural southern ohio and have silver laced wyandottes. I have posted my first question about our egg production ceasing. I am very new to chickens and can't figure out if this is a molt/season issue and will start again in the spring or if my chickens have a problem. Thanks and this looks like a great site.

a fellow Buckeye. So glad you joined. Egg production usually declines this time of year due to the decrease in length of light.

Welcome from Eastern Wa. They need 12-14 hrs of light to continue producing during these short days of winter.
