I'm new to chickens but have built a chicken tractor and plan on getting 5 laying pullets soon. I would rather not get them from a hatchery becuse I don't want debeaked chickens. I hope to find some on craigs list or some other small chicken raiser. Any one local know where to get some good birds? I live south west of Cleveland. Love this web site !!

from Western WI! You'll be fine getting your birds from a hatchery or try your local feed store. They'll have their beaks.

Hi and from a fellow Buckeye. So glad you joined. Good looking tractor. I know Meyer hatchery in Polk Ohio doesn't clip the beaks of their chicks. You should also check out and add yourself with the other Ohio members at the link below.
