Hello from Ohio!!!

I am so thankful that I have found this site....I have 4 Hens (2 leghorns and 2 buff orpington) that are 18 weeks old and NOT laying yet...then I also have 6 buff orpingtons that are 12 weeks old and 2 roosters...

Hi and from a fellow Buckeye. So glad to have you aboard. Some breeds can take up to 24 wks to lay. Our heat may be contributing to the late lay as well. You should also check out the other Ohio members at the link below.

Some hens start laying a little later than others. At 18 weeks I wouldn't really worry about it.
