Hey everyone. Im new to raising chickens. Live in Central OK. I have a flock of six that are around 3 weeks old. We have one Leghorn, three Rhode Islands, one Sex Link and hopefully a Barred Rock. We can't tell if it's a barred rock puller or a sex link cockerel

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. A black sex link cockerel will have a white spot on his head and no barring. These links may be useful to you:

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

Looks like the first wing feathers are barred so maybe it is a barred rock after all

Looks like a barred rock - to soon to sex it. I know males are supposed to have this, and pullets are supposed to have that. But truth be told even top breeders can't aways tell because a chick may display clues of both sexes. Please post new photos at 6-8 weeks of age.

Welcome!

What an adorable little one! Sorry, I have no idea what (s)he is and will leave that one to the experts.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
