Thanks everyone! To answer the question about what other breeds we have, for hens we have dominiques, black jersey giants, RIR, spangled hamburgs (so cute and tiny, but so not into people!), a golden cuckoo marans, a dark cornish, a buff red star, a welsummer, and a silver grey dorking. We also have two roos - the dorking above and a buff braman. We got all of those from two mixed purchases - a brown egg layer mix and a heritage breeds mix (which had two surprise roosters). And now we've apparently just bought 5 polish chicks and one yet to be figured out!
