Hello from Oklahoma

I am wanting to start raising chickens for eggs. I have a young child and want to show her how to do this. My grandparents did this and I have forgotten how they built coops and what breeds they had. Any advise would be appreciated. THANKS!

I like Buff Orpingtons. They are gentle, so I have heard! I am just now getting some myself! I have Salmon Favorelle, and mine are very gentle and nice!
