Gosh that cannot be comfortable! And sure hope she doesn't roll off her roost! At least it would be far to roll though. I sure miss having babies around - thanks for sharing!
I think the outstretched wings are meant to be anti-roll stabilisers 😂

They grow up so fast! The bigger ones are four weeks old now and definitely not babies any more. They've started sleeping overnight in a row up top where most of the Light Sussex are in that pic, so I'm going to put a wider, longer roost bar up there tonight.

Do y'all ever wonder how chickens manage to move eggs from one box to another. I know they do. Its happened more than once around here when I've had marked eggs with broody hens.
Today I have a bantam hen sitting on a rock. Its a nice size rock too. I have no idea where it came from, or how she got it into the coop and then into a nest box thats about 6" off the floor.
It isn't even a smooth rock.

I made a thread about hens moving eggs around with a couple of examples.

I don’t have a picture of this either but my two old hens were taking a dust bath by the barn the other day, in a very open space. Suddenly a HUGE bird started circling them. They ran toward the barn but I didn’t think it was safe enough so I shooed them into the trees. Then I realized it was a vulture. 🤦‍♀️ He thought those two idiots were dead.
