Hello everyone! I am now diving head first into what looks like may become an obsession. We haven't even got our chickens yet! My husband is currently finishing a chicken coop that is fit enough for a person to live in and our neighbor kid raises chickens. So there we go! Instant chicken owners! We currently will have five hens and one rooster. I am already looking online wanting to buy several other breeds to add to our little flock. I have been reading and reading and reading on chickens and raising them. They will be my pets and my 10 yr old daughter is showing some interest in showing so we will see where we go from here in the near future. I really look forward to learning more about these adorable feathered kids that we are adopting and to be able to learn from chicken enthusiasts here on BYC!
