Hello everyone, I've been around here for years and figured it was time to join! My husband and I have been keeping chickens around 3 years now. We keep a small flock of Silver Cuckoo Marans for eggs and we have a few bantams as pets, 'my babies' as I call them. Two days ago we had a fox attack (through a fault of my own) and lost my little Black Japanese bantam rooster 'King Kong' and 2 of his hens, we now have two little hens left. I was close to that little roo, he was very special to me for so many reasons. I never ever would have thought I could be so attached to a chicken, but I'm heartbroken. Anyway, I love chickens and am glad to be here, looking forward to reading and sharing! Many blessings, Kim
