Hello from "old" Hampshire (UK)

We chose the chicks based on their egg colour which won't work if we have a batch of roosters of course. We hope to keep a single roo but hope he passes on coloured egg genes as we think an easter egger might be fun in future. Not too concerned about how many eggs we get so much as wanting happy birds purely for the enjoyment of it.

We've also added a cuckoo maran for some speckled eggs.

Our Easter Egger mix lays green eggs, so he should pass on those genes.
