Hello all! We are first time chicken parents of 10 chicks who are 14 weeks old already! Our Lakenvelder chick, Henrietta, turned out to be a Henry. The plan was to rehome any roosters we ended up with but now that we've raised him from a baby it's not such and easy choice! But our kids, ages 3 and 1, love them to pieces and so do mom and dad. Looking forward to collecting those first eggs! I can already see that chickens are the gateway animal...
