Hi! My husband and I just bought a house in OR and moved in a month ago. We just started our flock 2 1/2 months ago, so they are not producing eggs yet. We have a nice mix, 2 barred rock, 2 polish crested, 2 buff orpingtons, 4 varied bantams, an americauna, and a rhode island red. We call them our chicken nuggets. They are absolutely hilarious to watch. Especially the cresteds. They are like feather dusters with beaks sticking out!
Welcome to BYC! You do have a nice mix. What variety of Polish do you have (I used to have some Golden Polish)? I like Buff Orpingtons for their beauty and calm, gentle dispositions (they are good layers as well) and keep a few of them in my flock for just these reasons.
