We live near Portland in the suburbs. Its really nice and close to everything. Fortunately we are allowed chickens in unincorporated Washington County. We also have a place on the coast in Depoe Bay too. I love the

We get our first babies on April 21st. I ordered five females (hopefully no accidental roos)--a Barred Plymouth Rock, a Barnevelder, an Ameraucana and two Speckled Sussex. I cannot wait

!! Hubby just got the posts in the ground for our version of a hen palace. How great is that you have your tractor on the City Chicken site?! I now must look for it.

I actually saw that on the web page before. I love how easy it would be to set up. Do you have another hen house for the chooks or do you use that one all the time?

It's currently my only house. They use it full time, but come June, I'll need an actual house, so I'm working on that in the next month or so. In the mean time, I found a used tractor for CHEAP and will be making some adjustments to it to make a run/house for the new chicks I have, and will be getting. Once everyone is one flock, I'll use the two tractors for sick birds and housing brooding hens and their chicks.
