Hello to everyone! I live in Perry County, just across the river from Harrisburg. I should have my first batch of eggs (looks like about 6 GLW's and maybe 2-3 sussex are wiggling around) on monday. I have a dozen Buff and Black orpingtons that I set one week ago but there was a mishap with the USPS and the eggs didn't arrive for a week and I don't see anything going on in those but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
To all my chicken friends in the northern states, when is it safe to put the chicks outside? I was planning to put them in an inside coop in our pavillion with heat at about 6 weeks and then to the big coop in March - April...does this sound about right?
