Hello from Pennsyvania

I lost this one last night. It wasn't eating, drinking, growing...anything. The others started picking on it so I carried it in my bra all day giving it sugar water, and egg mixed with milk and feed. It started eating and drinking on its own so I put it in the brooder. I woke up to poor chick dead.

The rest are exceptional! Strong, running, eating, practicing all their chicken skills...what a treat to watch.

So sorry for your loss..:hugs It happens to us all and it is not fun. Just keep going, the rewards outweigh the losses. It will get better. Chin up. :)
 
It's heartbreaking. But I'm pushing forward with the healthy ones. Luckily I was too exhausted from lack of sleep to have emotions when I found it. I have a young male bunny that NEEDS to go in outside hutch when the weather breaks. We call him Thumper.
