Hi all! My name is Tawnee and I've been raising chickens for a year as an adult, but my parents had a farm when I was young with chickens, turkeys, hogs, and cattle.
At the moment, I'm rebuilding my flock because my husband's now former dog escaped the fenced area and killed all of my mature chickens in the middle of the night. Luckily, I successfully incubated and hatched my own chicks about a month ago. The mom's were RIRs and the daddy was (the best rooster ever!) a White Crested/Golden Laced Polish.
I joined this board because there's always more to learn and I have no plans to give up being a crazy chicken lady. I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing our passion for these beautiful, simple yet magnificent creatures.
