Thanks to all for being so welcoming!This will hopefully be fun and educational for the family and not just the 4-Her. Im sure I'll have lots of questions that seem dumb but I know a lot about most other farm animals and nothing except what ive learned this week about chickens. I will do my best to find the answers to my questions without asking. Its great to know you're all here if I still need help and encouragement

Thank you! This is his 1st deployment. The day I signed the papers for him to enlist was the proudest,saddest & most terrifying moment of my life. I think the chickens will help with filling our days and busying our minds during his times away.

Thanks! I've been reading for hours about deep litter. Trying to get through the entire thing before asking my questions. Keep thinking eventually they'll be addressed. As I'm reading things start to get repetitive and I plan to finish that page and stop. Just then a new point comes up. Lol I'll get thru it all eventually!
