I have 4 ducks, two are Mallards and two are Pekins. This is my first time having ducks and it has been really fun. Unfortunately my neighbor has just reported me to Code Enforcement and they are making me get rid of my ducks within five days.

Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Best of luck to you and all your great ducks! They sure are characters!

Here's some links to check out on ducks.

Again, welcome!

Glad you joined us! I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. Check out the Laws and Ordinances section Kelsie2290 linked for you. Quite a few of our members have
fought against and won ordinances and I'm sure they'd be happy to support you and advice you. Best of luck!

Thank you all for your advice I am going to look into the information that you all have given me. My plan B is I found someone on Craigslist that has a private pond where I can take the two Mallards but my Pekins I am going to do my best to keep them

Can anyone tell me the difference between Mallards and Rouens ducks. I thought I had Mallards but someone just inform me that I actually have Rouens.

The laws in Pittsburgh are ridiculous. You need 2000 square feet, pay a non-refundable $350 permit application fee, and you can only have 3 chickens.

There is a group that is fighting for our rights to humanely raise our own poultry. They dont have very sharp teeth, but they are out there, trying to fix the 2011 debacle that set up those insane regulations.

I argue that my neighbors' dogs, cars, and mouths are louder than well taken care of hens. Even the birds make more noise than a few chickens, not to mention that deer and groundhogs do more damage to peoples yards.
