(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not completely new, I've been dabbling for 5 or 6 years, but have more now than I used to.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

New Hampshire, Rhode Island Red, Sex Links, Americanas, Olive Eggers (?)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Have found some very useful information here in the past through internet searches, but had never joined. I thought it was about time I did. Also joined Backyard Herds as I've recently gotten some pigs, as well.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Growing food and herbs, dog agility and obedience
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm in the process of creating a homestead which I hope is "one day", mostly self-sustaining. Currently my brother is living on the property giving me a hand with some clearing and animal care. We're in the process of figuring out some rainwater catchment systems and hope to add a little solar. In addition to the chickens I have 3 Hereford hogs, 2 Belgian Malinois, and a Sheltie.
