Seriously, though! I've spent years digging in the dirt, cultivating a dream of quitting my day job to become a farmer. While I haven't yet traded in my laptop for a tractor, bringing home these beloved birds somehow elevated our Little Pink House (on a postage-stamp, suburban lot) to our Little Pink Farm.
While my grandparents on both sides raised chickens (and hogs and horses), it's my first time and I have so much to learn! I've been reading up on raising chickens here on the site since I first became interested in becoming a chicken mama. This community has already had a huge impact on our family and we're so grateful!
I really did just want the compost, but we've already begun collecting eggs and it turns out these sweet babies became part of the family pretty quick. ❤
