My name is Kelly and I live with my DH and 2 kids on beautiful Vancouver Island...I currently have 8 chickens...hoping to get 6 more soon...barred rocks, Columbia rocks, red rocks and some RIR... They were hatched in may.

Is that chicken in the middle a hen or rooster? We are having a hard time deciding. It's the only one of 8 with that comb...and the tail shape is slightly different. Or is it still to early to tell

I hope so...it was named honey when it was a girl and Red now that we thought it may be a boy. My son was sad when I thought I was wrong and said it was just a different breed hen. He said "nope it's a rooster"
