Our Buff Orpingtons have been the hardiest chickens we have ever had. My most recent flock started six years ago, with 3 Buff Orpingtons, a Black Copper Maran, 2 Barred Rocks, and a Black Australorp. None of the other breeds are still with us, but all three Orpingtons are, and they are still laying. I will always find room for them in my flock.
