I am a total chicken newbie. My husband moved us to the country and I am embracing my inner redneck

For Christmas I asked for a chicken coop and in May I finally got my very first chickens. I now have 13 Rhode Island Reds (no eggs of course but watching). I am trying to talk my husband into Guineas next. I love this website and have found more answers to problems on here. Sometimes it helps just knowing I am not alone in my wait for eggs. I look forward to getting to know everyone better and who knows maybe some day I will know enough to be able to help someone else

Welcome to BYC from NC. We go down to Richlands a couple of times a month and get feed. How old are your RIR? Guineas are great but loud!
