I guess that is the high end of here power went for about 1 1/2 hours yesterda.
We are on city water here not super spendy not as good as well water in my book but did have water while the power was out.

When I was in my first apartment, the power went out during a thunderstorm. The next morning, I called a friend and asked if I could flush the toilet.

Friend: (silence) Uh... yeah... why are you asking?

Me: Because the power's out.

Friend: So??? What does that have to do with flushing the toilet?

Me: (realizing that having city water was NOT the same as have a well and pump) When it went off at home, some people didn't have running water, because they had a pump on their well. We had an artesian well, so we didn't have to worry about that.

Friend: Yes, you have water. Don't worry.

Me: (feeling rather hayseedly dumb and wondering if I can find the turnip truck I seemed to have fallen off) Ok. Thanks.

Good Morning,
Kettle is boiling....and..it will be tea. Around 6am this morning a flock of beautiful white feather cockatoos were hanging on my roof looking down at my bantam flock having breakfast....they want some of it..of course they can not have it.
Today I will be taking a vow of silence... will be good as I don't want to go to the Sin Bin thread making confession... typing is ok...I guess

The news over here is that this winter a new super flu bugs is going to be a big problem so must take vaccination as soon as it releases....

Nursing home over here will not allow visitors that have not vaccinated for flu in the winter season. This started before covid time as many nursing home residents were infected with flu from visitors and the nursing home went into lockdown.

We've got snow on the ground. Temps should rise enough to remove it before nightfall.
I saw a frog egg cluster in the pond yesterday. This is the first year they've beat the toads to spawning. But when the bullfrogs come back they will eat up all the tadpoles that hatch.
