Hi!!!
yes it was you who pointed joining this place out! I uploaded a couple pix of my chickies on my profile, I am not sure how to display them. As far as breeds go, I am fairly confident that they are not all RIR one of them looks like it IS an RIR another looks like it may be a Red Star and the last looks like either a Welsummer or some sort of Amerucana mix (sp) I don't know anything about breeds 
My guess is the owner gets a random mix of chickens and just claims them to be the one he sees most heavily populated. But I am sure he did get their vaccines, probably ordered these chicks from Mexico or something, maybe that's why they were cheaper, or he might have his own breeder. The feedstore I purchased them from is pretty much the only feedstore in Calexico and only feed store within 40 miles of any other place and the guy I spoke with was the Manager (and he's been there since I was a kid) So lazy as they might be (the workers) I do trust that they know what they are talking about. When I called them the next day (because I never asked them anything about the chickies) I initiated my questions and he pretty much flat out told me they had those two vaccines already.. I have read in several places though that just because one is vaccinated against Coccidiosis (sp) that it doesn't necessarily guarantee that the chick will not contract it? is that even used properly? lol I suck
I recall someone said the environment would expose them to that strand Cocci and I think I read that it is usually found in poo aaannd considering I THINK "Twitchie" may have eaten a Fly, chances are that fly probably stood in poo?? Meh... also my Sister had a couple of visiting dachshunds over and those dogs are calamities... they tore into the cage to get to the chick feed the day before I visited (Thank God that the chickies were not in there at the time) crazy dogs, and then the little dummies got stuck inside the cage and couldn't get out hahahaha
buuuut yeah at under $2 a chick you are right, I should question whether or not they truly were vaccinated.... hmmm...
