I am a homeschooling momma about to embark on my journey with chickens. It's always been a dream! We are finally someplace where we have the space and a pre-existing little barn that we are going to begin turning into a coop.

The kids are so excited b/c I promised we would hatch this spring. So...I have been busy researching, researching, researching.

Imagine my celebration when I came across this amazing site/group!

I can't stop reading! I am learning so much and can't wait to get our eggs/chickens!!!

Where are you in S.C.? We are near Ft. Jackson Army Base.
 
To those of you in SC that asked -- we are in Greenville (very near Traveler's Rest and Paris Mtn). Just moved here about 6 months ago after living nearly 12 years in Columbia, SC!
