Been popping on and off this site for years picking up advice but never got around to registering. On our third batch of garden hybrids, currently have a RIR cross, a Sussex and a Daisybelle but our excitement has been just hatching our first chicks! 4 out of 6 French Wheaten Marans hatched and we are wondering if we have boys or girls. Have posted on the other section if anyone can help me out!

It can take several weeks to several months(in the case of Silkies) to make a firm determination of gender . Unless you buy what is called a sex link. The sexes are determined by color at birth to be male or female.
