Hi, my name is Pauline, and I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders UK with my partner Barny, 3 Border Collies and our 3 hens - Mrs Clutterbuck, Speckles and Hennifer Lopez. We rescued our hens from a free range farm, about 9 months ago and they're still laying well - even now in the freezing cold!

I came across this site when I was looking for advice on a hen with a sore leg, it looked very informative so I decided to join. I'm looking forward to learning all about my feathered friends.

Thank you all for the welcome - pleased to see someone else from Scotland!

Hennifer is still limping, unfortunately one of our Border Collies grabbed her when he was sniffing about outside. Its not something he's done before, so it caught us all by surprise. We can't see any puncture wounds, or any other damage, so hopefully she'll recover with a bit of rest and tlc.
