Nice to meet you.
Interesting observation on the silkie broody. I'm hoping one of my girls goes broody this spring so she can raise a batch of day olds. I have no silkies. I guess I always looked at them as chickens trying to look like a fluffy dog. Cute but didn't really do it for me.

What breeds of chicken do you raise?

What breeds of chicken do you raise?

Shown are some: Salmon Faverolles cockerel, BA, 2 EEs, BPR, Lakeland Egger, SS and a Delaware and RIR in the coop. I added 2 white LHs and a California white in October.
