I've visited this site many times but never signed up. I joined to share my homemade egg incubator. We have had chickens for several years and enjoy them a lot. (What I don't enjoy is burying hens killed by domestic dogs & cats, which happens too often). We have 5 acres and try to let the chickens free range, but the toll is getting worse. I wrote some info somewhere on this site (when I joined yesterday); I'll have to search around & get my bearings: the layout here has changed since the times I dropped by in the past.
from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. So sorry for your loss. That is the one thing about owning chickens, every predator out there has chicken on their mind. It is so frustrating. I hope you find a way to keep them away. Good luck.
