Hi

Am thinking of keeping chickens and was directed here by a fellow enthusiast. We have a small garden so am looking to find out what, if any are are options.

First off I need to find out how much room they would need..

! Great to have you with us! Standard chickens need about 4 sq. ft. per chicken in their coop and 10 sq. ft. per chicken in their fun. Have fun and enjoy your flock!

Omlet website is a good place to start with homes, runs, feeders and if you're close enough chickens too. When I started keeping them in the back garden 6yrs ago (before that lived on side of a mountain) I made the mistake of buying a wooden chicken coop from a local garden centre because it was a fraction of the price but it was a false economy they're heavy to move and now have to be replaced whereas my brothers eglu bought at the same time is still going strong. Hope this was helpful.
