Hello! I just moved to Snellville from Arizona and I'm just starting my research on keeping chickens. What part of Snellville are you in that allows them? Or are you on a 3+ acre? Just curious because I've had some confusion in my search and nothing specific to Snellville has come up in my search besides your post so far. (I will check out all the FAQ/Intro pages, don't worry! I just was trying to start on if they're even allowed where I live first :] )

Well most people around me have chickens but by law we arent supposed to. Everyone is friendly about it and none of us have a crowing rooster. The ordinance is 3 acres and 100yards away from all property lines to own chickens in gwinnett county. I think its a joke because so many people keep chickens. My advice to you is just to discuss it with your neighbors before to see how they feel. If they ever get a bit noisy just load a carton of eggs up and give them to your neighbors lol everyone loves fresh eggs. But we are on 3/4 acre lots so really hens dont make any noise loid enough to carry off the property and be a nuisance. I hope you get a flock and help fight the ordinance here in gwinnett i will look for our petition! Lets get chickens allowed again!
