(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We had 2 chickens (cuckoo Maran and barred PR) in Seattle a few years ago and now in SoCal we just got 5 chicks that are now 6 weeks old
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Oops, see above, we currently have 5 in urban SoCal
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 black copper marans, one blue Plymouth rock, one red new Hampshire and one speckled Sussex
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs and feeding them leftovers
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening and neurodiversity activism
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a business owner, homeschool 2 of my (4) kids, I'm neurodivergent, we have 3 cats (2 are recent foster fails) and one senior dog.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Been lurking for about a month
