Hi I'm new here, my 3boys and I are waiting the arrival of our 6 new little chicks. I've been tracing them all day today and I'm getting impatient as I know they are close but still too far to go pick up. Guess I will have to wait till tomorrow. I hope they do ok thru the night.

! Great to have you in our community! New chicks - always an exciting time! The waiting is the hardest part. Don't worry - chicks are good to go for about 3 days in the mail. Once you get them be sure and dip their beaks into their water so they figure it out. Might even put some chick booster (poultry vitamins) into their water. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm all set with a vita pack and everything. I've actually raised birds before, chickens, pheasants, turkeys and ducks growing p in MI, but that seems like a lifetime ago. My kids are about to lose their minds tho. Lol.

also baby chicks drown easily - so put clean pebbles or rocks in their water dish - to prevent that.
