We just received 2 Brown Leghorns and one Rhode Island Red. They were laying in their old coop. How long will it take them to become comfortable enough to start laying again?

! Happy you joined us. When they resume laying might depend on how disrupted they felt in the move from their previous home to yours. Seems like leghorn types are pretty jittery about change - I would guess the RIRs will return to form first. Best of luck to you!!

in my experiences it takes about a week to 2 weeks depending on the chicken.:yiipchick
