My name is Melissa. I'm new to the website and raising chickens. I've got a mix of chickens. I've got two frizzles (11 weeks old), two sizzles (4 weeks old), four silkies (10 weeks old), two Barred Rocks (9 weeks old) and one that I'm not sure what it's going to be. The 2 sizzles, I was told were silkie mixed with a frizzle. The one I'm unsure about is from the same batch but isn't frizzle. Which I know that all chicks mixed with a frizzle dont always come out to be a frizzle. I can't tell which ones are roosters/hens in the silkies. I know my oldest frizzle (Redneck) is a rooster. He started crowing yesterday. I think the Barred Rocks are both roosters. I'm sure my oldest frizzle (Chickie) is a hen. She's so sweet and soft. I love how the frizzle chickens look. This is the first time I've seen frizzle chickens. We just finished building a 8 x 11 coop for them.
