Hello all I am new to this. Everything about raising chickens 4 cuckoo Marans 2 Buff Orpington and I have 2 pekin ducks.We also have 3 dogs. My gsd doesn't seem to be interested in the chickens and ducks so guess that is a good thing. The other two I have to watch carefully. I have noticed my ducks hissing at them. So funny. I am a mother of two young boys who have appetite of teenagers. Hopefully with all the eggs we will be having I can keep up. Any advice is appreciate. TIA.

Enjoy your lovely flock! Be careful with the dogs however, they have a hard time with thinking poultry is food.

I am out in country side Sumter. I have been on here so much that I said "I might as well join" lol. With my dogs I am scared to death one will get them, so I keep them apart. I have my chicks and ducklings in a extra large wire kennel (they where getting to big for the tub. They keep jumping out) so they can range all little and keeps them protected from the hawks.:(
