Just wanted to say hi, been a lurker for a while and am starting my second year with free range chickens. We started it as a hobby for the kids since we have never lived in the country and now have 5 acres and no neighbors, keeps them from getting bored out here. We raised 12 egg layers of various breeds (3 turned out to be roosters) and 20 Cornish X which one of the last is tonight's dinner. Gonna try and hatch some mutts this year and start with a dozen or so turkeys this spring.
