Howdy, folks... been lurking here for over a month, so I thought it was about time to sign up and say something.
Currently raising my first flock of chickens: two each Buff Orpington, Jersey Giant, and Amerecauna. After gardening on this property for ten years, and planting fruit trees earlier this year, I decided it was time to make the next step toward being self-sufficient (yeah, I'm one of THOSE people!). When pretty much every search about chickens I did ended up here, I thought maybe this was a good place to hang out.
