Hi. I'm Nick. I am not new to chickens, I've had chickens since 1994. I've known about this forum and heard lots of chicken people talk about it, but I've only just decided to join 
I live in south Texas near San Antonio.
I mostly have silkies but I have some other breeds too. Silkies, Old English Game Bantams, cochins and easter eggers are my favorites so far. I used to spend hours outside with my chickens as a teenager just observing them. I'll always have chickens.
I'm getting back into hatching chicks. I have some nice looking silkies that I bred and I have not bred the "young ones" who have to be around 6 now. I figured I'd better get started before they're all gone.
I also have goats and tortoises, a cockatiel, a couple of cats, 2 dogs and a donkey.

Welcome Nick, it's so nice to meet you! I'm from NC myself and this year started raising chickens and well...
chicken math took over and the addiction began! 
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do here...I have met many wonderful friends and learned SOOOO much from many of the pros. Jump right on in, you will feel right at home in no time!
