Hi I'm Gus and I'm new at raising poultry. I currently own 2 beautiful lavender aumericaunas who should be laying by Septembe; and a few other breeds. I would like to learn more about how to raise them as well as egg production. Thanks in advance
 
Hi everyone! I am new to the group. (Obviously) lol. I've had chickens about six months now. I love just about all breeds of chickens, and have a motley crew of various beauties. But I really love my lavender orpington's, Cochins, & EE's! I'm from Mississippi. Still learning new things about chickens every day! I'm excited about meeting & learning!

Nice to meet you Gus, hope you enjoy Backyard Chickens as much as we do. The Learning Center is a great place to start a chicken education and also the "Raising Backyard Chickens," thread. If you still have questions after those - come on back and ask us.
