    Hello everyone,
I'm new to the chicken world and have already found this form to be a valueable resource! My girls, ages 11 and 4 have ventured into the world of chickens! Growing up my mom always had layers and broilers around but I never had much to do with them. But now that I'm older and have a family I discovered how much I miss having farm eggs and homegrown chicken to eat. We have always had the traditional farm, cows and horses, but in the last few years we branched out into purebred katahdin sheep, meat rabbits and now some herritage breed chickens and turkeys. So hello everyone, I'm looking forward to learning more about the interesting ins and outs of the world of chickens!
