(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am not new to chickens, I have been raising and breeding them since I was very small. I grew up around chickens and have had them my whole life.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have around 80 or so right now, and 12 ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have? The most numerous are Americana, followed by buff orpington and barred rocks. And several farm stock cross breeds. Also have a small flock of free range games.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? By researching new and rare chicken breeds.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I am very active in model railroading and I enjoy carpentry and fishing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married and myself and my loving, beautiful wife is expecting our first child. I am a fleet manager for Cowan Systems in Bowling Green KY. My family has always been involved with chickens and other poultry. Every spring we set our incubator and hatch between 75 and 150 chicks a couple times a year, some purebred but mostly just the common farm mixed free run chickens. Have ended up with some very beautiful birds that were one of kind.
