Thanks for the welcome everyone. And Redsox, if you do decide to keep some bees, most areas have great beekeeping associations that are very supportive and usually provide beginning beekeeping classes. I think that keeping bees has a greater learning curve than keeping chickens, but maybe the next few months will prove me wrong on that!

The little chicks all made it through the night without a problem. The funniest thing is if I make quiet chicken noises three of them come running over and seem to want to be picked up. Too cute!

Seems like lots of people in southern Maryland are raising chickens. Your chicks are adorable. It seems like all mine do is eat, drink, sleep and poop! Enjoy your new additions.
