Hello from Southern Mississippi

I raise salmon faverolles and silkies, as well as turkeys and ducks (khaki campbell, as well as rouen are hatching as I type). I also keep quail right now. I'm not new to raising poultry, as I've done it my entire adult life, at least when I lived somewhere it was allowed!

I'm not currently exhibiting my birds, but I do strive towards maintaining a flock that conforms to breed standards.

In addition to my purebred birds, I keep a handful of more traditional laying hens, currently accompanied by a silkie rooster. On a whim, I did hatch some of those eggs, and now have a handful of halflings, some of which are stunningly beautiful half grown birds.

I had been referring on occasion to this site for some time. Since I'd recently seen a photo of a hen similar to my "halflings", I wanted to comment...so I finally bothered to create an account.

As for photos, I'll have to get better about that. I'm not particularly well known for my photos of my chickens, barring the occasional chick pic.
