I'm not new to having backyard chickens, but its been awhile. So I'm here to refresh myself and get all of your expert advise. 😊

Our family has 6 new girls (we think they are all girls), that are about 5-6 weeks old and supposedly all Rhode Island Reds. I think a couple of them are something else, so curious to get your feedback from the pics.

I do have a question about the first one pictured. Her tail is not growing like the others are. Is that normal or could she be a he?

I look forward to chatting with you all during our family's new chic journey. ♥️🐔🐣🐤♥️

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Cute babies you have there! 💖 They are still a bit young to sex yet, and while some birds are slower to grow or feather, cockerels generally feather out slower than pullets. Time will tell! Welcome to our community!
