Hi there,
I have joined BYC. today and am looking forward to reading the forum and benefiting from your rich experience. I thankyou for sharing it in this forum.
Personally, I live in France and have many free range chickens who come in at night and I can't really remember training them to do that.
I also have peacocks and have just got some new chickens to help me hatch my peahen eggs. I am worried about how to go about doing this the best way and need information quickly as the peahens' eggs are ready and waiting - but the peahens are not interested in them :(.
So I wish you all a good day before I start out on my quest for my chicken-egg problem :),

So glad you could join our community!

I have never kept Peas in the past and not sure about their broodiness and hatching eggs. You might stop by our Pea Fowl section for more information about this...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/51/peafowl

Make yourself at home here and we do welcome you to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X2 on check out the Peafowl forum, you might also like to check out the Learning Center section on hatching eggs, there are some good articles on broody hens and hatching eggs and incubators... if the hens you got are not broody (or didn't stay broody when you moved them) you may need to get/make an incubator, since you can't really make a hen go broody. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-and-raising-chicks

Once chickens realize where their home(coop) is, they will put themselves to bed about dusk every evening. They don't need training.

Bonjour - ca va? Peacocks goodness, don't they make a heck of a noise. Always associated peacocks with luxury mansions and castles? Do you perhaps live in one?
